Magic Kingdom is the most popular Disney park in the world, with at least 20 million visitors every year. But, with so many people, it is hard to know which rides to prioritize when it comes to booking a fast pass. That is why we are sharing this list of the best Magic Kingdom Fastpass rides to book for your next trip.
What is Fastpass+?
Disney’s Fastpass system allows you to skip the lines of your chosen ride. Firstly, you will book a time slot to ride and can return within that hour, enter a separate queue and have a significantly shorter wait time. You can book three rides in advance, each day but these Fastpass slots book up quickly. Once you use these rides during the day, you can book another Fastpass.
Which rides offer a FASTPASS?
So first things first, not all rides at Disney parks offer a fast pass. The rides that do are:
- Barnstormer
- Big Thunder Mountain
- Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
- Dumbo
- Enchanted Tales with Belle
- Haunted Mansion
- “it’s a small world”
- Jungle Cruise
- Mad Tea Party
- Magic Carpets of Aladdin
- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
- Ariel at Her Grotto
- Cinderella and Elena at Princess Fairytale Hall
- Mickey at Town Square Theater
- Rapunzel and Tiana at Princess Fairytale Hall
- Meet Tinker Bell at Town Square Theater
- Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor
- Peter Pan’s Flight
- Mickey’s PhilharMagic

How does Fastpass at Magic Kingdom work?
You have three fast passes a day and can choose any of the above rides depending on availability. Fastpasses open 30 days before any date, or 60 days if you are staying onsite at a Disney resort. For example, if you are planning on visiting on the 6th May, the fast pass would be available to book on the 6th April for everyone but it would be available to book from the 7th March for those staying on Disney property.

Tips for the Magic Kingdom Fastpass
- Character fast pass – you can get a character fast pass and these are a good option if you MUST meet a character. If you are not too bothered, then don’t waste your fast pass on a character meeting.
- Use Rope Drop – If you don’t manage to get your chosen ride, head to the park for opening. If you are there for rope drop, you can head straight to the ride you missed out on.
- Start West – If you arrive early, start at the west side of the park, Frontierland and Adventureland generally tend to be much quieter first thing in the morning but also have great rides, so you can ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean throughout the morning.
- Wet rides – During the ‘winter’ months, the wet rides have shorter queues so skip these as a fast pass option from November through to March.
- Special events – When there are special events in the evening such as Mickey’s Not so scary Halloween or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Fastpass distribution ends at 6 pm.
- Register – Register online in advance on the My Disney Experience website and follow the steps to link all your parties. Do this before your 30/60 day slot.
- Good rides for toddlers and young children include: Seven Dwarfs Mine Ride – 36″ and above, Peter Pan, Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid, Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, Winnie the Pooh and Tomorrowland Speedway.
We recommend booking Fastpasses on your phone but kiosks are available here:
- Tomorrowland at Buzz Lightyear AND Stitch Character Encounter
- Fantasyland in the far back of the park at Pete’s Silly Sideshow
- Fantasyland at Mickey’s PhilharMagic
- Liberty Square at the Diamond Horseshoe
- Adventureland at Jungle Cruise
